The New Colgate SlimSoft

I was so excited to receive the Colgate SlimSoft Voxbox from Influenster complimentary for review! As a Dentist, I try and compare lots of products, and I love to see new and innovative designs. The Colgate SlimSoft rocks!

The bristles are 17x slimmer than regular round bristles. This helps to clean harder to reach areas, and the bristles are soft! Soft bristles help to protect the enamel against tooth brush abrasion. Here's a comparison photo of the tapered bristles of the SlimSoft and my old tooth brush:

The packaging has an easy open tab. How many times have you fought to get your toothbrush brand open on the back of that hard cardboard package!

Colgate Total advanced toothpaste and mouthwash were included in this Influenster VoxBox. They both provide that clean mouth, fresh breath feeling. Don't forget to change toothbrushes every 2 to 3 months, and definitely checkout the Colgate Slimsoft!

This Summer my niece and I attended Shop the Aisle Blogger Style event in Atlanta. Natural hair ladies and transitioners came out to discover product lines carried by Walmart and to get style tips from our favorite bloggers. This event was hosted by Maeling Tapp of naturalchica.com She was the first Youtube Blogger I discovered when I began my Natural Hair Journey. Koils and Konversations Event

Saturday, August 11th, I attended Koils and Konversation at Healthy Hair Dimensions in Northlake Mall. Healthy Hair Dimensions is a retail store that carries multiple Natural Products for the Hair, Face, and Body. Pamela Jenkins was the special guest. She is the creator of Koils by Nature, an all natural product line for the hair. Natural ladies showed up and were treated to candid conversation and natural food catered by Lila Lucas of Home Harvest. I was able to sample the Koils by Nature Products, and the Shealoe leave in conditioner kicks butt!! Saturday, August 19th, I attended an afternoon of tea and beauty at the P3 Beauty and Tea event held at Atlanta's Studio Wed.  The event was hosted by four mavens of Makeup,  Beauty, and Style - MiMi Johnson of mimijonline , MUA Alexandra Butler of  alexandrabutlermua.com , Maeling Tapp of naturalchica.com and Mattie James of mattieologie.com. The afternoon consisted of tea presented by Soren-Tea and Makeup application demos by Lamik Beauty among other companies showcasing Beauty and Jewelry. Naturally Pretty in Atlanta!

I attended my first Natural Hair event last night. I missed the World Natural Hair Show and Fro Fashion Week, so this was a must see event for me. Naturally Pretty was hosted by Mae of naturalchica.com and MiMi J of mimijonline.com. They did a terrific job hosting and turnout was great. Check out their websites when you can.

I was one of the first one hundred guests to RSVP, so I received one of those fabulous red MissJessies gift bags with full size products(we'll get to those later)! I also had a one one consultation with professional make up artist, Alexandra Butler (alexandrabutlermua.com) She showed me how to work the cat eye look. I will definitely be recreating this look for Fall. It was a treat to see all the ladies rocking their Natural Hair in so many fabulous styles. I was truly inspired to get more creative. In addition to the gift bag, I purchased products from Darcy's Botanicals and Camille Rose Naturals. Look for my upcoming product reviews!
